Abstract: A 9 page overview of the various forms of assimilative pressure which have shaped the Cuban American immigrant experience. The author notes that although they live in the United States, and indeed take pride in American values and freedoms, Cuban Americans are still culturally isolated to a great degree. Never-the-less, even this tight-knit community, is still subject to the same assimilative pressures which have been at play in this country since its initial inception. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
