GREEK REVIVAL ARCHITECTURE AND THE 19TH CENTURY

Abstract: This paper examines the concept of revival architecture in the United States between 1820 and 1860. The style of architecture used was based on that used in ancient Greece, and the paper describes what the various styles were and the impact of revival architecture had on 20th century buildings as well.
