Media Events

Abstract: This 12 page paper considers what is meant by the term 'media event' defines the term and then goes on to examine the theoretical side of these events. Examples are used to illustrate the points raised, examples include the Miss World contest, the launch of the Harry Potter film, other releases as well as the attack on the World Trade centre.
