WTO 2001-PUBLIC HEALTH DECLARATION AND TRIPS

Abstract: This 20 page paper addresses the issues of patents and intellectual property protection as defined by the World Trade Organization at its 2001 meeting in Doha, Qater. The paper analyzes WTO's TRIPS and Public Health Declaration, an attempt to define when patents on medications can be overridden in the event of a health crisis in a developing nation.
