Race Relations in American Society

Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing two books in relationship to prejudices. The books are, 'Natives and Strangers: A Multicultural History of Americas,' by Leonard Dinnerstein, Roger L. Nichols, and David M. Reimers, and 'Lies My Teacher told Me: Everything Your American History textbook Gone Wrong,' by James W. Loewen. The different levels of prejudice are discussed as well as definitions of racism and stereotypes. Two models of racism are presented and detailed. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
