The Approaches to Anti-Discrimination Policies in the US and the UK; A Comparison

Abstract: This 18 page paper consider the similarities and differences in the approaches taken in both of these countries to discrimination. The paper considers the legislative culture, the influence of the past and the way in which measures such as the Bill of Rights and The Human Rights Acts can be seen as material of the approaches adopted as well as public policy such as the use of affirmative measures and positive discrimination.
