Abstract: 5 pages. This critical analysis focuses on a summary of an article on low-income children. Comparisons were made because it had been found that uninsured children were much less likely to go to the doctor for common childhood ailments, they had less immunity built up against disease, and they had no common pediatric doctor. These uninsured children are more likely to be hospitalized for potentially preventable problems. It has been found that uninsured children were likely discharged from the hospital very soon after birth and to have increased health risks after birth as well. Bibliography lists 1 source.
