Jung's Theories as They Pertain to the Dreams of the Mentally Ill

Abstract: This 25 page paper evaluates Carl Jung's theories, particularly as they pertain to the mentally ill and to the nature of dreams. His concept of the collective unconscious is explored in depth. The meaning and purpose of dreams are ultimately discussed as they manifest in schizophrenics and the depressed. Information on Jung's personal life is included as appropriate. Annotated bibliography lists 20 sources.
