Urban Planning's Relevance

Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing two of the roles of urban planning. One of those roles is in land use of course; the other focuses on the rapid influx of Latinos in a San Francisco suburb. The land use issue focuses on Macomb County, Michigan, a rapidly growing area outside Detroit proper. A group serving Spanish-speaking citizens in a suburb of San Francisco provides an example of how urban planning is used by non-government agencies. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
