Abstract: A paper which looks at henges and other ancient monuments in Britain and considers what can be deduced about Bronze Age people and social organisation from investigation into the construction of the monuments and the archaeological finds made at digs at related sites, such as the long and round barrow burial mounds associated with these sites.
