Abstract: (5 pp) Reconciliation is not an easy process, whether you are the character in a Romantic novel or walking now the streets of LA. Considering that Bronte was writing about the process, well over a century ago, we might think that certain aspects of the human psyche will have changed. The author examines that possibility.
