Mars and Venus - Old News

Abstract: (5 pp) This discussion examines John Gray's 1992 best seller, Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus: A Practical Guide for Improving Communication and Getting What You Want in Your Relationships. In light of the new century the book, has not aged well. Although it may have broken much ground in advancing the need to discuss differences in gender communications, the reduction of communication skills to simplistic solutions, which often seem prone to the author's perceptions of how it 'should' be, no longer have the power that kept the book on the New York Times bestseller list for 92 weeks.
