Euthanasia: A 2001 Perspective

Abstract: A 5 page discussion of the pros and cons of euthanasia. Notes the 1975 case of Karen Ann Quinlan which brought the topic of euthanasia into public consciousness along with the current day challenges of a mercy killing in Australia by an Aussie equivalent of Dr. Kervorkian, Dr. Philip Nitschke. Emphasizes that while the topic of euthanasia will be debated for generations to come it is our personal responsibility to take charge of our own decisions in this matter in the form of a living will.
