Online Publishing: Content for Mass Media

Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing the growing trend in alliances between traditional content sources and online publishers. An example is a recently announced agreement between The New York Times and NewsStand Inc. to provide a full online version of the Times to subscribers preferring electronic delivery. Most major newspapers maintain an online presence but offer only selected articles. This new version of the Times carries all articles, advertisements and graphics contained in the print version. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
