Abstract: A 5 page discussion of the friction which exists in Canada between the French Canadian component of the country and those who descended from the English. Examines the contention presented by David Bell in "The Roots of Disunity: A Study of Canadian Political Culture" that Canada has not unified ideology or sense of nationalism. Supports this contention with observations from history and the present which appear to support the view of Canada as a multinational entity. No additional sources are listed.
