Chlamydia: An Imminent Threat to Philadelphia Teens

Abstract: A 7 page outline of the description and effects of Chlamydia, a bacteria which can have severe consequences for Philadelphia teens and indeed for individuals around the world, claiming four million victims in 2000 alone. Teens in particular are extremely susceptible to this potentially catastrophic organism. Philadelphia teens in particular exhibit a number of behavioral patterns which make them extremely susceptible to this sexually transmitted organism. Indeed, statistics for fifteen to nineteen year olds from around the nation rank Philadelphia third in the nation (outranked by Richmond Virginia and St. Louis Missouri) in the number of chlamydia cases which exist there.
