Hillary Putnam & The 'Ready-Made World'

Abstract: A 5 page paper that discusses Hillary Putnam's theory on the ready-made world and on truth and theoretical processes. Putnam argues that there isn't a ready-made world, that the concept of the world is dependent on a number of considerations in its formation, including perceptions and the concept of realism. This paper argues that Putnam's contentions about the rational acceptablity of theories is flawed because of his cyclical reasoning. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
