Characterization in Dickens' "David Copperfield" and "Great Expectations"

Abstract: A five page paper comparing the characterizations of David to that of Pip in these two novels by Charles Dickens. The paper argues that while both boys were intended to represent Dickens himself as a child, the characterization of David is flatter than that of Pip because Dickens was still working out many personal issues. Bibliography lists three sources.
