Abstract: (6 pp) When asking what does the Industrial Revolution represent for Western Civilization, the first thought is "machines." But this period in history influences all areas of society, wherever it was instituted. It has even been suggested that not since the process of sustained agriculture, has an event, or group of them, provided such a catalyst for western civilization. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
