The Milagro Beanfield War and Salt of the Earth

Abstract: 7 pages in length. The Milagro Beanfield War is a simple yet richly symbolic tale of a war between the rich and the poor. This classic tale of good vs. evil transcends what one reads on the page or sees on the screen, but leaves one walking away with a feeling inside that goes beyond mere emotion. Compared with an equally powerful film, Salt of the Earth, these are stories that tell us clearly that money and power do not equal right, and poverty does not equal wrong. It is the inherent human quality and the underlying love in what we do that makes our world a better place in which to live. Bibliography lists two sources.
