Plato and Rousseau: Related by Analogy

Abstract: (5 pp) An "analogy" according to Mr. Webster, is an inference that if two or more things agree in some respects they will probably agree in others - a likeness between things that are unlike. In this discussion we will determine the analogies that Plato used in the Republic and Rousseau in The Social Contract.
