Reality and Film

Abstract: A 5 page paper which discusses three films and illustrates how, while they depict reality to some degree, they also create their own form of realism often found in films. The films discussed are "Scarface" (1932) by Howard Hawks, "Dancer in the Dark" (1999) by Lars von Trier, and "Saving Private Ryan" (1998) by Steven Spielberg. Bibliography lists 2 additional sources.
