Abstract: An 18 page paper which argues that ageism affects the medical treatment received by the elderly in this country, and other countries as well. The paper presents information relating to how the elderly are treated as a whole, through the workplace, government, and society, which serves to help support the problems with ageism as it involves medical treatment.
