Abstract: A 6 page overview of the benefits of massage therapy in treating multiple sclerosis. Emphasizes that while there is little direct research regarding the positive effects of massage on multiple sclerosis in particular, there is considerable evidence that massage can be beneficial in relieving many of the discomforts such as those associated with the condition. Includes information on the diagnosis and manifestation of multiple sclerosis as well as on the physiological benefits of massage. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
