Nonpoint Pollution: Acid Rain and the Role of Vegetation and Sediment

Abstract: A 10 page overview of the factors which contributes to nonpoint pollution. Emphasizes the impact of nonpoint pollution to acid rain and in turn to water pollution. Discusses the impact of nonpoint pollution to vegetation and, in turn, the role of vegetation in buffering the effects of acid rain. Devises a simple study designed to access the degree of this phenomena using data which has already been collected by state and federal agencies and correlating this data to vegetative types identified using aerial photographs. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
