Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing a department manager's difficulties with a specific employee and her realization that she had allowed negative personal feelings to influence her relationship with the difficult employee. The paper explains that the employee made a positive contribution and continued to do so. It concludes with the changes that occurred both within the department and within the manager.
