The Economics of Crime.

Abstract: (5pp) Does the market for second-hand goods play a role in keeping crime figures high? Research has not determined absolutely that the availability of second-hand markets for stolen goods actually increases theft rates, but does show theft is dependent on having a market. Is this a crime circle that can be avoided or averted? Bibliography lists 4 sources.
