Sir Phillip Sidney's Sonnet #31

Abstract: The sonnet is a type of poetic form that was extremely popular in Elizabethan and Victorian England. Sir Phillip Sidney was a courtier just prior to Shakespeare who was one of the first to popularize the sonnet. He was an instigator in form and a master of metaphor. This 5 page paper explores number 31 in the sonnet cycle of Astrophil and Stella. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
