Abstract: A 5 page discussion of the tax laws pertaining to the renting of vacation property as a business activity. Written from the perspective of a case reviewer reporting to a supervisor, this paper focuses on the methodologies which are appropriate for calculating personal use verses business use and how this percentage applies to income and expenses from this property.
