Are We Still Blaming the Victim?

Abstract: A 5 page research paper that first of all examines the principal points of William Ryan's Blaming the Victim (1971), which accuses American society of perpetuating social rhetoric that places the blame for social inequalities on the victims. The writer then examines some recent articles on health care and the poor to assess how they either substantiate or contradict Ryan's accusation for the present day. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
