The Economics of Agriculture in Canada

Abstract: This 16 page paper provides a history of Canada's farming policies from the 1970s through 2000. Many issues are addressed including but not limited to trade policy, government intervention, competition, increases in technology, expenses of transport, border disputes and the demise of the family farm. Recommendations are made for the future of farming in Canada. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
