Renaissance Technology / Art Forms

Abstract: A 7 page paper that explores the development of sophisticated ceramic forms. During the Renaissance, a form of pottery called maiolica was developed. It became very popular among all classes because the undecorated pieces could be purchased by people outside the aristocracy bringing at least a semblance of equality. Also discussed is the Saint-Porchaire pottery, a very different kind of piece. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
