Abstract: A 30 page paper that investigates the regulations, technology, and economic factors that have affected financial institutions and how these affect the American people. The writer begins with an introduction that identifies some of the older regulations that influenced how financial institutions operate. The next section discusses, in depth, how economic and regulatory actions have greatly influenced financial institutions, like banks. This section identifies the laws past in the last two decades and their effects. The third section deals with technology and the dramatic impact this has had on this industry.
