Criminology and the Old School Theory of Thought

Abstract: 8 pages in length. Focuses on the old school theory of anomie of Emile Durkheim and applies it to criminology in society today. This old school theory used anomie to describe a condition of deregulation that was occurring in society. What this meant was that the rules on how people ought to behave with each other were breaking down. For this reason, people did not know what to expect from one another.
